NASA Doesn't Like to Wait; Double Coin Tires Deliver Every Time!

Rizor Trucking is glad they switched to Double Coin RR150 tires a few years back because they have a customer who doesn't like waiting -- NASA!

"We haul some very sensitive stuff for NASA - titanium," Michael Rizor (pictured below with his family) explained. Rizor family"If we don't get it there on time, we have a big problem. That's why we are so glad we switched to Double Coin a few years back . . . we've had no problems whatsoever."

Titanium is extremely important to the space agency because its two most useful properties are corrosion resistance and strength-to-density ratio, the highest of any metallic element. It's a credit to the Rizor family business that NASA trusts them with such important shipments.

Based in Marysville, OH, Rizor Trucking pulls mostly step back and flat bed trailers. In addition to titanium, they haul heavy loads of mulch and pavers every day to Home Depot and Lowe’s stores across a three-state area.

Double Coin RR150 - croppedMichael, who owns the trucking company with his wife Susan, says they have not had a single downtime incident related to their Double Coin tires, and they are very pleased with the tread wear.

“They wear very evenly, and you can haul heavy with them with absolutely no issues,” he says.

Rizor Trucking, LLC, based in Marysville, OH, spec’d Double Coin RR150 tires (size 295/75R22.5; pictured to left) on six new Fontaine spread axle trailers. They asked for Double Coin RT500 tires (size 255/70R22.5) on a highly accessorized Raven step back trailer.

They also run Double Coin RLB400 closed shoulder drive tires on their tractors, which are mostly Peterbilt 379’s (model years 2005 – 2008). And they've had good experiences with our RT606+ 5-rib regional steer/all position tire.

To say that Rizor Trucking is a family affair is putting it mildly. Michael started in Brayden Rizortrucking more than 40 years ago. When Susan and him tied the knot in 1981 she quit her insurance job and got a CDL. They drove cross country together.

Their son Mark is in the business and Mark's son, Brayden? "There's no stopping him," Michael laughs.

Check out the photo of young Brayden in his Halloween outfit. Too cute!
