The Double Coin Tires "Little Truckers Coloring Contest," designed to promote trucking to youngsters, garnered more than 200 entries ranging from realism to the abstract.
Four winners in the Facebook contest were chosen to receive cash prizes based on their creativity. Another winner, 6-year-old Audrie R., received a cash prize for the most votes -- 109.
Kevin C. used a color combination of orange and green to create an eye-catching image.
First grader Tucker proved that he is a Little Trucker with this creative effort; obviously a family in the car since they all have orange hair LOL!
The contest was promoted on Facebook to owner operators. We had more than 1,000 visits to the contest page for voting. In addition, some kindergarten and elementary school teachers gave a talk to their students about the importance of trucking.
Speaking of the little ones, many of them went with more of an Impressionist approach such as below LOL!
Please see the other winning entries below, as well as work from the professional cartoonist, David Frohbieter, who helped Double Coin with this contest. It was great fun, and we plan to do it again!
